Our Work

Here are just a few of the many projects we’ve worked on recently. We value our relationships with our clients and maintain Non-Disclosure Agreements as we’re working on new and existing products. Our projects vary in size and scope, and we look forward to speaking with you about your project.

Commonwell Alliance

web application and api development

Problem

For HIMSS2015, Commonwell wanted to display a real-time map of the United States with markers representing each one of their booth visitors. The visitors needed to be able to register using a mobile device and be able to view the interactive map on their devices as well. Additionally, the data would be used to analyze the level of interest for their services in the United States as well.

Solution

Grata developed a custom web API and integrating application using socket technology to provide real-time interaction between visitors and the map displayed in the Commonwell booth.

In the background of the API, Grata built automated jobs that would aggregate the data received and emailed to the client's point of contact.

During the convention, visitors enjoyed the real-time markers as they entered their address on the mobile web-form; therefore, displaying their exact location and contributing to the GotInterop campaign.

Domain Homes

web application and api development

Problem

Domain Homes is a custom home builder in Tampa, Florida. In 2015, they decided they wanted a new, interactive website that displays their properties using an interactive google maps with property information, details, etc.

Their problem was that their home inventory was managed by an application and API that was not compatible with a user interfacing website. Without having to invest in a third party system to manage inventory, they wanted to be able to take their current system and make it compatible to their new, custom website built with WordPress.

Solution

The Grata team of senior level engineers recommended and built an intermediary API that aggregated data from the current inventory system, mapped the data to an easily packaged and readable relational data model and updated inventory daily for up-to-date inventory.

Additionally, Grata developed the integration code communicating the inventory API, Google API, and web interface to display the website's interactive pages.

The results of the work led to the website winning a web marketing award for the best home builder site in 2016.

Lasting Commemoratives

web application and api development

Problem

Grata was approached by Lasting Commemoratives to expand their product offerings and distribution with a third party vendor. The vendor required that Lasting Commemoratives integrate their fullfillment centers to the vendor's point of sale system.

The request was for the vendor to send Lasting Commemoratives an order placed on their point-of-sale system and for a notification to be sent back to the vendor when the order is fulfilled. The data to be saved for each order must be accessible to the vendor when requested.

Solution

Collectively working with Lasting Commemoratives and their vendor Grata developed an API with an administration panel allowing the system to ingest either SOAP or REST API requests, store the data, and provide Lasting Commemoratives the ability to edit order information through an administration panel.

The API was developed to be consumed by the vendor to send data and notifications when requested. The interface was developed to operate on desktop and mobile devices for the fulfillment centers to operate on mobile devices.
